Our Editorial Standards
Trust is the only real asset The Butler has. These are the principles that guide what we publish.
Independence
Reviews and recommendations are independent and based on first-hand testing wherever possible. No brand, advertiser, or affiliate partner can guarantee coverage, a positive verdict, or placement in any editorial feature. Commercial relationships and editorial decisions are made by separate teams.
Transparency
Sponsored content, paid partnerships, and affiliate links are clearly labelled on every page where they appear. If we earn a commission on a product recommendation, we say so. If content was produced in partnership with a brand, it carries a "Partner" or "Sponsored" label.
Accuracy
We aim to be accurate in every claim we make. When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently — on the original article, not in a separate note. Corrections are dated and describe what changed.
Sourcing
Claims are attributed to named sources, published research, or direct experience wherever possible. We do not publish rumour as fact. Anonymous sourcing is used only when a source would face genuine risk from being identified, and is disclosed as such.
Product Coverage
Products are selected for editorial features based on quality, relevance, and value to our readers — not commission rate or brand budget. We do not accept payment in exchange for inclusion in best-of lists or reviews.
Complaints & Corrections
If you believe something we have published is factually incorrect or fails to meet these standards, contact us at editorial@thebutler.ae. We will review and respond within 5 business days.
